Carrigan History Scholarship Endowment

This scholarship is for a junior or senior History major with those seeking BA preferred. Exceptional students seeking a BSE in Social Studies specializing in history are also acceptable. A 3.25 cumulative GPA is required and the student should be taking at least 12 hours per semester unless fewer hours are required in the final semester for graduation. The selected recipient should demonstrate considerable academic promise demonstrated by keen intellect, hard work, and ambition. The scholarship may be renewable based on approval of the scholarship committee if the student exhibited outstanding performance during the first year and another year of support would facilitate graduation. Finally, financial need should be considered if more than one student meets all of the criteria and preferences.
